Sedation Options in Westport, MA
While our staff is trained to provide behavioral management for kids with all types of developmental backgrounds, including ADD and autism, sometimes your pediatric dentist may offer sedation options as way to perform safe dentistry on your child.
We typically offer laughing gas as a first resort for most cases, and in many cases, we are able to effectively perform treatment using laughing gas alone. Laughing gas is safe, and exits your child's system very quickly after administration.
In some cases, your pediatric dentist may recommend general anesthesia (GA) in our in-office operating room suite, or occasionally in a hospital setting for your child's safety. In these cases, we are able to perform all necessary treatment on your child while they are asleep.
